Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead electrical design and construction oversight on a broad range of building projects across various sectors. You will guide junior staff, coordinate with other disciplines, and engage with clients from proposal through closeout.

The role requires extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and project document production, with strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Licensed Professional Engineer (PEO) required.
• 10+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical design of building projects is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering work on all electrical systems for a project.
• Present designs to clients and obtain acceptance.
• Coordinate development of models and drawings using BIM and AutoCAD.
• Prepare or oversee calculations and sizing.
• Lead preparation of project specifications, including related commercial terms.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Participate in value analysis and basic cost estimating.
• Manage project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
• Perform necessary calculations and QA/QC on projects.
• Lead development of new electrical standards and practices.
• Work on multiple concurrent projects.
