Job summary

Stantec is seeking a senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for water and wastewater projects in North America. The role focuses on control systems engineering, process control strategies, and automation designs, with engagement across multidisciplinary teams.

You will lead I&C deliverables, perform design coordination, and support construction and commissioning activities while mentoring junior staff and contributing to analytics and innovation within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is required.
• 15 years of instrumentation and controls experience is required.
• Professional Engineering registration (P.Eng.) or ability to obtain within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services in control systems, process control strategy, automation design, construction support, and studies for water/wastewater facilities.
• Develop construction documents including P&IDs and network diagrams; coordinate I&C deliverables with other disciplines.
• Review contractor/submittals and support commissioning and startup.
