Job summary

Stantec in Canada seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and act as the electrical engineer of record for water & wastewater projects. You will drive multi-disciplinary design efforts, develop electrical construction drawings and specifications, and mentor junior staff.

You will manage scope, budgets, and schedules, liaise with clients and contractors, and participate in quality assurance and commissioning activities. A PE license and 15+ years in consulting are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a Professional Engineer license.
• Minimum 15 years of consulting experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience leading electrical design and serving as electrical engineer of record (EOR) on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering portions across project lifecycle.
• Develop and coordinate electrical drawings, specs and construction documents (SLDs, power/lighting plans, wiring diagrams, panel/schedules).
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, staffing, and scheduling for electrical scope.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and other disciplines; perform field reviews and site visits.
