Job summary

Stantec in Canada is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across water/wastewater projects, from planning to post-construction. You will develop studies, drawings, and specifications while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.

The role requires a PE license and 15+ years in consulting, with strong leadership and communication skills and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and power-system analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level electrical engineering degree required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with municipal water/wastewater project experience preferred.
• 15+ years of consulting experience in water/wastewater infrastructure highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering portions across project phases from planning through post-construction.
• Prepare electrical studies, reports, and specifications; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Develop construction drawings (SLDs, power/lighting plans, grounding, wiring diagrams).
• Lead electrical construction drawings and technical specifications, vendor coordination, and QA reviews.
• Oversee field reviews, cost estimating, and commissioning support; mentor junior staff.
• Manage multiple projects and support business development activities.
