Job summary

Stantec is seeking a senior process mechanical engineer and project manager focused on planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure. Lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate reports, and ensure technical excellence and schedule adherence.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, P.Eng., and 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater projects. Hybrid work with in-office and remote collaboration is available, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven technical skills delivering process mechanical projects including calculations, specs, drawings and cost estimating.
• Understanding of local codes, design requirements and municipal engineering standards.
• Broad understanding of hydraulics and process mechanical systems for water/wastewater projects.
• Experience managing client expectations, budgets and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to Health and Safety within Stantec.
• Manage projects of varying complexity within multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform design work, calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and write specs and reports.
• Coordinate design and report deliverables for clients and approvals.
• Ensure compatibility of technical activity with design intent across disciplines.
• Attend client and subcontractor meetings and communicate project progress.
• Assist in preparation of project documents, presentations, and client communications.
• Support basic cost estimating under guidance of technical leaders.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and conduct site visits as needed.
