Job summary
Stantec in Calgary, Canada, is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead the electrical design and engineering for water and wastewater projects across all project phases. You will serve as the electrical engineer-of-record on multiple project components, guiding technical direction and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
The role requires a P.Eng license, 15+ years of consulting experience in water/wastewater, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Minimum 15 years in consulting for water & wastewater.
- Proficient with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design and engineering across project phases.
- Prepare SLDs, power and lighting plans, grounding and protection.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and prepare technical specs.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers; supervise audits and QA.
- Lead electrical studies, load flow, short circuit analyses.
- Oversee construction phase services and field reviews.
