Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex water-focused projects in BC and Alberta. You will mentor staff, guide design teams, and serve in roles from technical lead to project manager across multiple projects in our regional Water group.

You will collaborate with private and public sector clients, ensure design quality, and manage client expectations while supporting business development and proposals. Regular field and office work across Burnaby/Calgary locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia or eligible for EGBC registration.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee small and large projects of high complexity, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Provide technical leadership for civil projects and act as Engineer-of-Record on multiple projects.
• Perform Project Management and/or Project Technical Lead duties with project teams and budgets.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches; support proposals and client interviews.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants, owners, contractors and vendors.
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects and peers.
