Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Water CA Delivery team in Calgary or St. John’s. You will lead electrical design for water and wastewater projects, spanning planning through post-construction, and mentor junior staff.

In this role you will apply standards, perform studies, develop construction drawings and specifications, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and support business development while delivering high-quality outcomes for public and private clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and licensure as a Professional Engineer.
• Minimum 15 years of experience supporting water & wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and project document production.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering across all project phases from planning through post-construction.
• Develop electrical studies, reports, drawings and specifications for water/wastewater projects.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and other disciplines; lead construction drawing packages and cost estimating.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff; manage multiple projects and client meetings.
