Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development and implementation of complex electrical systems across airport, infrastructure and building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with architects, civil and mechanical teams, manage project schedules and budgets, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and templates.

A P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with PEO.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years designing and managing projects in Canada.
• Knowledge of codes and standards including CEC and related regs.
• Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid project management and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and implementation of complex electrical systems.
• Prepare design documentation, specifications and reports to meet standards and client expectations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff; review technical work for quality.
• Manage project schedules and budgets; engage with clients to understand requirements.
• Contribute to standards, processes and best practices within the department.
