Job summary

Egis Canada in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to support electrical system design for infrastructure and airport projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, producing drawings, specifications and reports while ensuring alignment with codes and standards.

The ideal candidate has a P.Eng. designation, 4+ years of experience, and strong communication skills to mentor junior staff and coordinate with stakeholders for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation in good standing with EGBC.
• Minimum 4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with infrastructure and/or airport projects.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
• Ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design and implementation activities for infrastructure and airport projects.
• Prepare design documents, technical specifications, engineering calculations and project reports.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering design activities with architects, civil engineers and other stakeholders.
• Conduct design reviews to support integration of electrical systems within project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering oversight to junior engineers and design staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, electrical codes, standards and project specs.
• Participate in stakeholder coordination meetings with clients and project teams.
• Contribute to development and improvement of engineering standards, templates and procedures.
• Support technical reporting and engineering recommendations throughout project delivery.
