Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents with meals in a warm, home-like setting. You will assist with setup, serving, and cleanup, while maintaining dining room cleanliness and safety standards.

The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and excellent customer service as you help deliver meaningful meals to seniors across Ontario. Training opportunities and a supportive culture are highlighted throughout the posting.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Experience in food service with seniors preferred.
• Must be enrolled in, or have completed, a Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in set up and preparation for service (beverages, salads, desserts, etc).
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery after seating.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist with catering and participate in special occasions and events.
• Assist in orientation and training of new dietary staff.
• Follow health and safety legislation and safe job procedures.
• Comply with provincial regulations and department policies.
