Job summary

AgeCare Glen Oaks in Oakville, Ontario is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents' dining experiences. You’ll assist with setup, serving, and cleanup, helping create a welcoming meal environment and participating in special events.

The role requires a Food Handler's Certificate and a willingness to lift heavy items, with preference for prior seniors' care experience. This permanent, part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Preference for experience in food service and seniors.
• Must be able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in set up and preparation for service of beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and kitchen/dining area.
• Support catering and participate in special occasions and events.
• Assist orientation and training of new dietary employees.
