We are seeking a Senior Claim Advisor, Accident Benefits to join our Ontario team. Reporting to the Manager of Casualty Claims, you will handle complex, non-catastrophic first-party injury claims, ensuring thorough investigation, negotiation, and settlement in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret policy wording, determine coverage, and set reserves
• Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims with moderate to high complexity
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with policies and legal requirements
• Manage claims within personal authority and escalate as needed
• Communicate professionally with claimants, vendors, and legal professionals
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective claims management

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of Ontario Accident Benefits experience outside the MIG
• Desire to pursue CIP designation
• Knowledge of injury claims, medical terminology, and rehabilitation concepts
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
