Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Claims Advisor, Bodily Injury to join our team remotely. Reporting to the Bodily Injury Claims Manager, you will investigate and settle Bodily Injury claims by examining coverage, liability, and quantum, following quality and territorial guidelines.

Responsibilities:

1. Interpret insurance policies and keep files updated using a proactive diary system.
2. Investigate losses, validate coverage, and collaborate with underwriting as needed.
3. Assess liability and quantum on complex files.
4. Maintain appropriate reserves based on exposure.
5. Follow best practices for file handling and customer service.
6. Participate in committees and work with defense counsel on litigation files.
7. Negotiate settlements within your authority.
8. Stay informed on legislative changes and industry trends to assist in strategy development.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 3 years of Bodily Injury Claims experience.
2. Ability to handle moderate to high complexity injury claims.
3. Strong organizational and time management skills.
4. Critical thinking skills to evaluate claims.
5. Excellent communication skills and customer service commitment.
6. Enrolled in or completed CIP designation is an asset.
7. Bilingualism is an asset.
