We are actively hiring a Senior Claim Advisor, Accident Benefits for our Ontario team. Reporting to the Manager of Casualty Claims Complex AB, you will handle complex to non-catastrophic injury claims.

Accountabilities
  1. Interpret insurance policy wording, determine coverages, and set reserves on assigned Accident Benefit claims.
  2. Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims of moderate to high complexity via phone, in person, or written correspondence.
  3. Follow Allstate policies and procedures, and comply with legislative requirements.
  4. Ensure thorough documentation of files.
  5. Settle claims within personal authority limits and follow guidelines for claims exceeding authority.
  6. Manage customer service expectations and take ownership of customer issues.
  7. Maintain a caseload appropriate for a Senior Claims Advisor.
  8. Communicate professionally with claimants, vendors, medical professionals, and lawyers.
  9. Collaborate with a team of Accident Benefit Adjusters and Claims Assistants.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of Ontario Accident Benefits experience outside LDBL.
  • Completion of CIP designation or willingness to pursue it.
  • Insurance experience with injury claims, medical rehabilitation, and medical terminology preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Critical thinking skills for claims analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service commitment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
