Role Overview:

The Property and Subrogation Claims Manager supports the achievement of ACG’s strategic objectives by managing claim strategies and programs for maximum results and efficiency. This involves report analysis, quality assurance, and training delivery.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support and lead property claims and subrogation teams to achieve high performance.
  2. Foster excellent customer service environments.
  3. Implement best practices aligned with company goals.
  4. Delegate claims settlement authority appropriately.
  5. Prepare and analyze executive reports and data.
  6. Provide technical guidance on claims investigation, reserving, and resolution.
  7. Collaborate with analytical teams to generate reports for leadership.
  8. Handle and evaluate property claims from members and claimants.
  9. Manage daily claims operations.
  10. Partner with other leaders to define and drive initiatives.
  11. Set performance standards and communicate expectations to staff.
  12. Monitor team performance against metrics.
  13. Identify and implement process improvements.
  14. Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
  15. Participate in industry and government committees to influence claims practices.
Qualifications:
  • AMF License required
  • CIP/FCIP designation an asset
  • 10+ years in property claims
  • Understanding of legal principles across jurisdictions
  • 2-3 years management experience
  • Experience in training and coaching
  • Advanced communication skills
