DGA Careers Inc. in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster for a hybrid, full-time role focused on commercial liability. You will lead investigations, coverage analyses and settlements for complex CGL and bodily injury files, with responsibility for liaising with external experts.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in complex claims, a strong coverage background, and CIP or related credentials. Travel for mediations and trials is expected; Guidewire experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of adjusting CGL and bodily injury claims, including complex, litigated files.
• Strong coverage background: duty to defend vs indemnify, product and occupier's liability.
• Experience with audits and regulatory obligations.
• University or college degree; CIP designation completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, negotiate and settle serious CGL and bodily injury claims from notice to resolution.
• Confirm coverage and complete full liability and damages investigations on complex exposures.
• Instruct and manage external partners, counsel, engineers and other experts.
• Calculate ultimate exposure and reserve accordingly with proper documentation.
• Represent the company at mediations, pre-trials and trials; travel as needed.
• Mentor intermediate and junior adjusters on the team.
