Job summary

DGA Careers seeks a Senior Claims Adjuster for a premier global claims services client in Canada. You'll investigate, evaluate, disposition and settle claims across General Liability, Product Liability, and Auto Bodily Injury, negotiating with solicitors and parties and guiding mediations and settlements.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred), 5+ years of claims experience, CIP completion or C11/C12/C14/C110 in progress toward licensing, and licensing in relevant

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related claims experience.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CIP completion, or C11, C12, C14, C110 minimum and in progress toward licensing.
  • Licensing/certification in relevant provinces, or ability to obtain.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; French and English both an asset.

Our client, a premier global claims services provider, is looking to add a Senior Claims Adjuster to their team. This organization manages insurance claims on behalf of insurers, brokers, government bodies, and self-insured organizations, with a focus on exceptional customer service and strong outcomes. Poised for growth in Canada, this is a great opportunity for an experienced adjuster looking to take on a broader range of complex claims.

The Opportunity:

You'll be responsible for the investigation, evaluation, disposition, and settlement of claims across General Liability, Product Liability, and Auto Bodily Injury lines. This role calls for someone comfortable negotiating directly with solicitors and parties, navigating litigation and non-litigation strategies, and bringing claims to resolution through mediations, pre-trial conferences, and settlement negotiations.

What You'll Do:

  • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate settlement and disposition of claims within granted authority
  • Analyze relevant policies to determine and assess coverage against alleged claims
  • Identify potential litigation strategies and determine the best course of action
  • Handle claims consistent with client and corporate policies, procedures, and best practices, in line with statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment with strong attention to detail

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of related claims experience
  • CIP completion, or C11, C12, C14, C110 minimum and in progress toward licensing
  • Appropriate licensing/certification in relevant provinces, or ability to obtain
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; French and English both an asset
