Job summary

DGA Careers in Toronto seeks an experienced Claims Supervisor to lead a team of adjusters and support staff across Commercial Auto, CGL, and Property lines. You’ll mentor, hire, and drive performance while delivering exceptional client service.

The role requires a minimum of 5+ years in claims, CIP or in progress, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and provincial licensing. Competitive salary and benefits are offered, with opportunities for career growth within a nationally active firm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related claims experience.
• Experience in Commercial Auto and CGL.
• CIP completion or in progress.
• Appropriate licensing/certification in relevant provinces, or ability to obtain.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to interpret documentation and resolve complex claims issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of direct reports, setting goals and balancing workloads.
• Drive adjuster hiring and development to build a high-performing, client-focused team.
• Guide the team through litigation, mediation, and other legal processes as needed.
• Communicate proactively and professionally with clients, carriers, and brokers.
• Continuously identify ways to improve team efficiency and quality using available technology.
• Manage multiple priorities while recognizing coaching opportunities and positioning team members for success.
