Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents’ dietary needs and provide a pleasant dining experience. You will help with setup, serving, and clean-up, while maintaining kitchen and dining area cleanliness.

You will assist in training new dietary staff and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, physical ability to lift and stand for long periods, and willingness to obtain or provide required certifications and

Qualifications

• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Physically capable of lifting and transferring heavy items and standing for long periods.
• Experience in food service preferred, especially with seniors.
• Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Record Check or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Set up and prepare service items (beverages, salads, desserts, etc.).
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as needed.
• Help with dishwashing and maintaining dining/kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with catering and special events; participate in staff training.
