Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to serve residents with compassion in a warm, home-like setting. You will assist in meal service, setup, and dining area maintenance, while supporting team training and safety compliance.

Requirements include a valid Food Handler's Certificate, ability to lift and stand for long periods, and a patient, guest-focused attitude. Canadian work experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Experience in food service, especially with seniors, preferred.
• Must be enrolled in or have completed Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to lift and stand for the majority of shift.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in setup and preparation for service of beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery after each seating.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area.
• Assist with catering and participate in special occasions and events.
• Assist in orientation and training of new dietary staff.
• Follow health and safety legislation and departmental safe job procedures.
• Comply with provincial regulations and department policies and procedures.
