Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents' dining experiences, assisting with setup, preparation, serving, and cleanup to ensure meals are appealing and served with hospitality.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and customer service, with opportunities for training and advancement. A Food Handler's Certificate is required; experience with seniors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Set up and prepare service items (beverages, salads, desserts).
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and dining area.
• Maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness.
• Assist with catering and special events.
• Support orientation and training of new dietary staff.
• Follow health and safety procedures and provincial regulations.
