Senior Business Systems Analyst
Location: Toronto

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for conducting systems process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses to align information technology solutions with business initiatives on highly complex projects and/or within specific business areas.

You’re great at:

• Excellent professional communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a senior team member.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps.
• Experience in customer relationship management.
• Ability to resolve day-to-day problems efficiently and accurately.
• Knowledge of when to escalate issues and resolve routine conflicts effectively.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience applying them.
• Experience with production support and delivery.
• Ability to coach and mentor support staff.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience supporting clients and other departments.
• Experience developing process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear business concepts.
• Proficiency in developing business analysis documentation, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Skill in writing clear acceptance criteria and functional specifications across multiple systems, focusing on underwriting documentation for brokers and agents.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and ITIL.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new applications.
• Knowledge of relevant information systems and software such as Quadient, Capri, PMS, C Base, TSO, Duck Creek, Workbench, Dynamics 365, etc.

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian P&C insurance sector.
• CIP certification is an asset.
