This role will work as part of a multi-team program aimed at modernizing enterprise pricing, transaction processing, and data infrastructure. The ideal candidate is technically fluent, systems-oriented, and capable of translating complex business needs into clear, actionable, and traceable technical requirements.

This role demands a strong understanding of system architecture, data flows, and cross-platform integrations. You will work closely with product managers, engineering leads, data architects, and QA teams to define functional and non-functional requirements, produce detailed documentation, and ensure end-to-end alignment from discovery through delivery.

ShyftLabs is a growing data product company that was founded in early 2020 and works primarily with Fortune 500 companies. We deliver digital solutions built to help accelerate the growth of businesses in various industries, by focusing on creating value through innovation.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product, data, and engineering stakeholders to elicit and document business, technical, and system-level requirements

Define and manage cross-system data mapping, source-to-target specifications, and transformation logic

Author detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring traceability across sprints, systems, and test cases

Analyze and document API requirements, system dependencies, and integration workflows across enterprise platforms

Support development teams with clarification of requirements, edge cases, and data validation needs

Participate in program planning, sprint ceremonies, and backlog grooming sessions to ensure readiness

Conduct gap analysis between legacy platforms and new systems to support system decommissioning and replacement efforts

Create and maintain Confluence pages, data dictionaries, entity relationship diagrams, and process flow documents

Ensure alignment with enterprise data governance, SOX controls, and compliance frameworks

Support UAT planning and execution, validating business workflows and system behavior against requirements

Facilitate workshops and working sessions with domain experts, SMEs, and technical architects

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in complex enterprise environments

Deep understanding of data modeling, systems integration, and architectural dependencies

Proven ability to write clear, testable, and traceable acceptance criteria across large-scale programs

Experience with Salesforce, SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS-based architectures is strongly preferred

Proficient in creating data crosswalks, process diagrams, and system interaction flows

Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Lucidchart, Postman, and Agile boards

Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Comfortable working across multiple teams, systems, and concurrent tracks of delivery

Experience working in an Agile environment is a strong asset

Familiarity with system control frameworks, SOX requirements, or large transactional data systems is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting the decommissioning of legacy systems and migration to modern platforms

Background in fuel pricing, logistics, billing systems, or enterprise sales data flows

Familiarity with managing SOX-sensitive data, including the implementation of controls, audit trails, and approval workflows

Hands-on exposure to large-scale data processing pipelines, transactional record handling, and integration validation

Experience designing or executing data-centric testing strategies, including UAT, data integrity checks, and test case traceability across systems

We are proud to offer a competitive salary alongside a strong healthcare insurance and benefits package. The role is hybrid with 3 days per week spent in our Toronto office. We pride ourselves on the growth of our employees, offering extensive learning and development resources.
