  • Pay Rate: $80.88/hour, depending on experience
  • Contract Length: 13 Months

Raise is currently hiring a Senior Business Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a market leading financial institution

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Senior Business Analyst in this role will play a key role in the evolution of our clients digital onboarding and sales generation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the business analysis efforts for this project, including gathering and documenting requirements, performing gap analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of the project. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and exceptional business analysis abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Business Analysis activities, including working with other BAs, Product, and UX partners for a technically complex solution to enable initial customer creation and easy ordering of banking products.
  • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and surveys.
  • Analyze business requirements to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct gap analysis to assess the differences between the current state and the desired state of the system, highlighting areas for enhancement.
  • Work closely with technical teams (product managers, user experience, architect, developers, testers) to ensure accurate and efficient implementation of product features.
  • Develop use cases and user stories to capture the functional requirements of the system, ensuring that all user needs are met.
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming and refinement sessions to ensure user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and technical requirements for system implementation.
  • Create data models and process flows to document business processes.
  • Identify and document non-functional requirements, such as performance, security, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive requirements traceability matrix to ensure that all requirements are accounted for and tracked throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guide and actively participate in UAT to validate that the system meets the business requirements and user expectations.
Deliverables
  • Business Requirements Document (BRD) and Detailed Functional Specifications.
  • Agile Artifacts: Fully refined Product Backlog with "Ready" User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Process Maps: Current and Future-state workflow diagrams.
  • Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM): Ensuring end-to-end coverage from discovery to UAT.
  • UAT Sign-off: Validated test results confirming system readiness.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3–5 years in a Senior capacity.
  • Proven experience in Digital Onboarding, FinTech, or the Banking/Financial Services sector is highly preferred.
  • Experience with technically complex integrations, API-driven workflows, and customer identity management.
  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and the SDLC.
  • Proficiency in creating process maps (BPMN), data flow diagrams, and detailed functional specifications.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and diagramming tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio).
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on gap analysis and identifying system "pain points."
