Job summary

Definity is seeking a Senior Claims Representative for the Auto Claims team. The role focuses on investigation, negotiation, and resolution of towing and storage charges across North America, with autonomy and collaboration to optimize costs while ensuring fair customer outcomes.

You will support national Auto Claims teams, manage complex first‑party claims, and navigate provincial regulations to reach timely, cost‑effective resolutions.

Qualifications

• University degree, college diploma in a related field, or CIP designation.
• 2+ years of prior claims adjusting experience.
• Experience handling personal auto claims and commercial claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage, investigate, and resolve complex auto claims involving towing and storage across North America.
• Negotiate towing fees, vehicle releases, and settlements to achieve fair, timely resolutions.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to Auto Claims teams on complex towing and storage matters.
• Investigate potential fraud indicators and liaise with legal partners and providers.
• Apply policy wordings and provincial regulations (e.g., TSSEA).
• Document claims thoroughly using claims systems and vendor portals.
• Deliver prompt, courteous, accurate, and fair claims service to customers and partners.
