Senior Analyst, Canada and U.S. Payroll

At TC Transcontinental, we've got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team. We are currently seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team. The role involves payroll processing and participation in various projects. This is a hybrid position, requiring one day on-site per week at our Montreal office located at 5800 St-Denis, Quebec.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with the 1% training fee law.
• Balance and issue tax slips and summaries, manage year-end processes (T4, RL-1, W2).
• Handle monthly and quarterly remittances to government agencies and external suppliers.
• Assist with GL account mapping and payroll accounting requirements.
• Adjust taxable benefits in employee records periodically.
• Coordinate internal and external audit mandates.
• Respond to LMU & RGAP requests for each legal entity.
• Support colleagues responsible for payroll processing during absences or projects.

Projects:

• Analyze and configure payroll systems.
• Manage priorities to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT and HRIS teams on payroll system initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years in Canadian and US payroll processing.
• Certified with NPI (or in process).
• Certified with APA (asset).
• Knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, PeopleSoft, Kronos).
• Analytical, curious, and efficiency-driven.
• Experience in project coordination and SME roles.
• Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written.
