You’re an excellent team player who will advance our Total Rewards & operational strategies. Your payroll expertise, knowledge, and collaboration skills are essential for delivering our products and services. Your insights, analytics, and process knowledge will influence strategic decisions. You will collaborate with internal partners, including P&C leadership and stakeholders, and external agencies, shaping the future of work.

Here's how
  • Execution/support of payroll:
    • Ensure all payroll inputs and outputs comply with TELUS, legal, and negotiated requirements.
    • Meet Sarbanes-Oxley control standards for internal and external audits.
    • Provide guidance and training to ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
    • Protect team member data confidentiality and accuracy.
    • Utilize and improve SAP payroll system functionalities.
    • Lead the annual T4 and Relevé 1 programs.
    • Update payroll and benefits documentation on internal platforms.
  • Operate as a Trusted Advisor and Ambassador:
    • Guide team members on escalated issues through analysis and research.
    • Manage payroll issues and communication.
    • Collaborate with partners on programs and initiatives.
    • Build relationships across Canada and represent P&C Operations externally.
  • Provide insights and leadership:
    • Maintain compliance with audit and government standards.
    • Implement payroll best practices to enhance efficiency.
    • Support monthly reporting for P&C Operations dashboards.
Qualifications

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

  • 10+ years of payroll and compliance experience, ideally in large organizations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience with CRA and Revenu Québec.
  • Proven track record of meeting objectives.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SAP HR & Finance modules.
  • University degree or college diploma in Business or related fields; PCP or PLP designation preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • CHRP or CPA designation.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
Salary Range: $93,000-$139,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%
Total compensation depends on experience and skills. Benefits include:
