Job summary

Vaco by Highspring, an Equal Opportunity Employer, seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist in Burlington, Ontario. You will accurately code, review, and process a high volume of invoices, match to POs and documentation, and resolve discrepancies with vendors in a fast-paced environment.

Role requires strong Excel and ERP experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with internal teams including Purchasing and Operations. The position supports month-end close and is paid hourly.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the full accounts payable cycle, including three-way matching and invoice coding.
• Demonstrated ability to process a high volume of transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code, review, and process a high volume of invoices.
• Match invoices to POs, receiving docs, and supporting records before payment.
• Process approximately 450 invoices per week in a fast-paced environment.
• Review invoices for discrepancies and follow up as needed.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Ensure invoices are coded to correct GL accounts and cost centers.
• Monitor workflow and follow up on approvals to support timely payment.
• Maintain organized AP records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end activities and accruals.
