Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our client's Toronto-area operations. You will process vendor invoices, ensure proper coding and approvals, and manage weekly payment runs in line with supplier terms.

In this role you will reconcile the AP sub-ledger to the general ledger, support month-end close, process employee expense reports via Concur, and maintain audit-ready AP records.

• Proficiency with Concur for expense reporting.

Job description

• Process vendor invoices accurately, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and timely entry into the accounting system.
• Manage weekly payment runs in compliance with supplier terms and internal controls.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, reconcile vendor accounts, and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile the AP sub-ledger to the general ledger and support month-end close, including accruals.
• Process employee expense reports using Concur.
• Maintain organized AP records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Process intercompany transactions and lease payments.
• Prepare cash disbursement reports and assist with short-term cash flow forecasting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AP processes and resolve payment issues.
