New Look Vision Group Inc. (NLVG) is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to lead the monthly close, financial reporting, and cash flow management. You will drive accuracy and timeliness in close processes and guide the accounting team across the division.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, IFRS experience, and the ability to provide clear insights to management while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance; CPA asset.
• 5–7 years of experience closing months and team management.
• Experience in retail/inventory sector is an asset; bilingual French-English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute full monthly close for New Look, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to timelines.
• Prepare and review marketing accruals and other month-end journal entries.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and internal policy adherence.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare the monthly reporting package (Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and provide working capital commentary.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to leadership.
• Supervise one Accounting Analyst; mentor and coach the team.
• Support consolidation efforts, data mapping and system enhancements.

JOB SUMMARY

TheSenior Accounting Analyst is a key contributor to the monthly close, financial reporting, and cash flow management. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely month‑end close, balance sheet integrity, and meaningful financial analysis to support management decision‑making. The position also provides day‑to‑day guidance and oversight to a junior accounting analyst and supports continuous improvement of reporting and consolidation processes.

With great rigor and excellent organizational skills, you are able to manage complex tasks while meeting tight deadlines. You have a good command of accounting standards, ERP tools and software such as Excel. Your ability to work under pressure, analyze data, and communicate clearly with different departments allows you to make informed decisions and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's financial processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Month‑End Close & Accounting Operations

• Lead and execute the full monthly close process for New Look, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to timelines.
• Prepare and review marketing accruals and other month‑end journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and IFRS requirements.
• Proactively identify and resolve accounting issues arising during month‑end.

Balance Sheet & Reconciliations

• Prepare, review, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for the New Look banner.
• Investigate variances, resolve reconciling items, and ensure balances are well supported.
• Maintain high standards of documentation and audit readiness.
• Prepare the monthly reporting package for the NLVG division, including:
  • Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow
• Working Capital analysis and commentary
• Provide clear, concise insights and explanations for period‑over‑period movements.
• Support reporting manager and senior leadership with ad hoc financial analysis as required.

Cash Flow Forecast

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the weekly cash flow forecast for the business.

Consolidation & Systems

• Perform and maintain GL account mapping in the consolidation software for NLVG reporting purposes.
• Support data accuracy and consistency between local ledgers and consolidated reporting.
• Participate in system enhancements, reporting improvements, and process standardization initiatives.

Leadership & Supervision

• Provide functional supervision, training, and review of work performed by one Accounting Analyst.
• Ensure tasks are appropriately delegated, reviewed, and completed on time.
• Support development of team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.

Ad Hoc & Special Projects

• Support ad hoc accounting, reporting, and analysis requests.
• Participate in finance projects, audits, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
