Job summary

Groupe Vision Newlook Inc is seeking an Inventory Accounting Technician to support inventory control across stores, distribution centers, and laboratories. You will coordinate count schedules, validate results, and investigate discrepancies while assisting Sales Audit & Inventory Control and other departments as needed.

We value detail-oriented, analytical, and well-organised individuals who communicate effectively with stores, Operations, and Finance.

Qualifications

• College diploma (DEC) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in inventory control, accounting, retail operations, or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP, inventory management, or retail systems is an asset.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventory count schedules and instructions to stores.
• Validate inventory count results and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory-related emails and inquiries and provide guidance to stores.
• Assist with sales audit reconciliations, reporting, and data validation.

JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Accounting Technician is responsible for supporting inventory control activities across retail stores, distribution centers, and laboratories. This role coordinates and communicates inventory count schedules, validates inventory count results, investigates discrepancies, and works closely with store teams to ensure inventory accuracy. The position also provides administrative and operational support to the Sales Audit & Inventory Control team and assists with other departmental functions as business needs require.

RESPONSIBILITY

• Inventory Count Coordination
  
  • Prepare and communicate inventory count schedules and instructions to stores
  • Track count completion and follow up on outstanding items
  • Maintain inventory count logs and supporting documentation
• Inventory Analysis & Validation
  
  • Review and valida inventory count results
  • Investigate discrepancies and follow up with stores as needed
  • Escalate significant variances and assist with root-cause analysis
• Inventory Support
  
  • Monitorand respond to inventory-related emails and inquiries
  • Provide support and guidance to stores on inventory procedures
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve inventory issues
• Assist with sales audit reconciliations, reporting, and data validation.
• Maintain tracking files and documentation.
• Support process improvement initiatives and other team priorities as required
