Job summary

New Look in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking an experienced optician store manager to lead a dynamic sales team and deliver exceptional customer service in eyewear and contact lenses.

You will ensure store performance, apply company standards, manage operations and coaching, and act as an ambassador in the community. The role requires membership in the College of Dispensing Opticians and a track record of cost control and objective achievement.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the College of Dispensing Opticians in your province.
• Minimum of five years of experience managing a sales team.
• Demonstrated results in achieving objectives and controlling operating costs.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the achievement of sales objectives and activities related to the operation of its store.
• Ensure the application of standards, procedures and programs established by New Look.
• Ensure quality customer service that meets the company's standards of excellence.
• Adjust contact lenses and advise the client with their use.
• Ensure the quality and conformity of ophthalmic products sold by analyzing lenses, inspecting frames, cutting and repairs.
• Perform any other professional act reserved for an optician.
• Train new employees and support their professional development.
• Be an ambassador for a company committed to the environment and its local community.
