Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review T1 (personal), T2 (corporate), and T3 (trust) tax returns.
  • Compile year-end financial statements with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for client accounting and reporting.
  • Perform tax planning and support reorganizations under senior guidance.
  • Manage multiple client accounts and deadlines with professionalism.
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues to ensure compliance and optimal solutions.
  • Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve queries, ensuring clarity and satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in a public accounting office.
  • A degree in accounting/taxation from a university or equivalent program with a minimum B+ average.
  • CPA designation (or enrollment in CPA or equivalent accounting/taxation education).
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and tax/accounting software such as MS Office, Profile, and CaseWare.
  • Expertise in preparing T1s, T2s, and T3s, as well as year-end compilations.
  • A fast-learning mindset with strong research and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • A strong sense of ethics, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
