Job summary

Seneca Polytechnic in Toronto is seeking a Full-Time Mobile Security Guard to patrol multiple campuses and respond to incidents with Paladin Security support. The role emphasizes independence, proactive safety, and collaboration with campus teams.

Qualifications

• Standard First Aid and CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider.
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Previous mobile/security driving experience an asset.
• Flexibility and knowledge of GTA roadways.
• G-class license with clean abstract.
• Professional, adaptable attitude.
• Must not be a current Seneca student at Newnham Campus.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must provide UOF/MOAB certifications or opt into Paladin's program (costs covered with 6-month commitment).

Responsibilities

• Mobile patrols across campuses, parking lots, and off-site facilities.
• Conduct safety audits, unlock/lockup, and site-specific support.
• Assist in coordinating emergency provider escorts to campus locations.
• Campus-to-campus deliveries.
• Patrol satellite campus buildings using verification tech.
• Maintain strong independent work and organization.
• Prepare incident and maintenance reports.
• Drive and care for patrol vehicles.
• Assist the public with basic vehicle maintenance.

Averaging Agreement : Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Must not be a current Seneca student at Newnham Campus
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
