Job summary

Paladin Security seeks a Rapid Response Guard to cover sites across Oakville, Milton, Burlington and Georgetown. You will patrol diverse environments, operate CCTV and alarm systems, control access, and respond to emergencies with a calm, professional demeanor.

A strong sense of safety and reliability is essential. Qualified candidates possess security licensure, medical/CPR credentials, a valid vehicle, and the ability to pass fit tests.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License & First Aid & CPR Level C.
• Immunization records (Mumps/Measles/Rubella/Varicella, TB).
• Own a reliable vehicle; G-License preferred.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada; pass N95 mask test.
• Ability to walk/climb stairs; experience with security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols at assigned sites and monitor premises.
• Operate CCTV and alarm panels; report suspicious activity.
• Control access for authorized personnel per site protocols.
• Respond to emergencies, assist evacuations when needed.
• Greet visitors professionally and provide directions.
• De-escalate conflicts and maintain calm under pressure.
• Document incidents and complete security logs promptly.
• Travel between sites as assigned.

Rapid Response Guard - Full Time - Halton - Vehicle Required

Position Overview: As a Rapid Response Guard, you will work at various sites across Oakville, Milton, Burlington and Georgetown including industrial, retail, healthcare, and office buildings. This dynamic role requires flexibility and quick adaptability to different environments. Site assignments are provided shortly before each shift, so you must be ready to deploy.

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is AA after 88 hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols at assigned sites, including industrial, retail , healthcare , and office towers, to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
• Operate security systems such as CCTV cameras and alarm panels, and promptly report any suspicious or unauthorized activity to appropriate authorities.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies including medical incidents, fire alarms or other security threats; assist staff and patrons during evacuations or critical incidents as required.
• Greet and assist visitors, clients, staff, and tenants in a professional and courteous manner; provide directions and ensure compliance with site policies.
• De-escalate tense or disruptive situations, resolve conflicts professionally, and maintain a calm presence under pressure across various environments.
• Accurately document site activities, incidents, and observations; complete incident reports, security logs, and breach documentation in a timely manner.
• Enforce site-specific policies and procedures.
• Travel between different site locations as assigned.

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security License & First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
• Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test
• Must own a reliable vehicle
• G-License preferred
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Education in Police Foundations, Criminology, PSI, or Border Services is considered an asset
• Able to provide a clean shaven face in order to pass a N95 mask fit test
• Ability to walk/climb stairs throughout the premises for longer periods of time
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
