Job summary

Chubb Fire C Security is recruiting a Security Service Technician (Level 1) based out of our Edmonton branch. The main duties are to carry out inspections and service functions on intrusion alarm systems, access control and camera systems.

Overtime, on-call and shift premium work as needed. The role involves identifying alarm issues, performing high quality service and maintenance, testing systems, and educating customers on system operation.

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective at building relationships with a demonstrated client service orientation.
  • Experience and technical knowledge of security products and standards/codes.
  • Strong knowledge of PC-based applications (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)

  • Independently perform high quality service, proper maintenance and make recommendations for improvement to the system if needed.
  • Conduct testing on alarm systems to ensure that the service provided was successful.

  • Complete ULC Inspections for both Fire and Intrusion systems.
  • Stay up to date on current alarm technology.
  • Networking and programming as required.

  • 5-10 years of experience in the electronics field or a related discipline, including at least 2 years of experience servicing alarm systems.

  • Possess a valid Provincial Driver's License

  • Experience and technical knowledge of security products and standards/codes

  • Strong knowledge of PC-based applications (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
