Job summary

Paladin Security, on contract with University Health Network West Park, seeks a Security Team Lead for the 3rd shift (1800-0600) in Toronto, Ontario. The role leads day-to-day security operations, coaches staff, and ensures compliance with site and Paladin policies.

Key duties include scheduling shifts, training mandatory staff, conducting security audits, and documenting incidents while coordinating with the Client Service Manager to maintain safe, compliant healthcare environments.

Qualifications

• Valid Security License for Ontario.
• First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider.
• Immunization records for required vaccines (Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and TB).
• Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing during training.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Position: Security Team Lead

Site: University Health Network - West Park

Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Pay Rate: $22.53 - $23.46/hr.

Key responsibilities:

Prerequisites:

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
• Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step Tuberculosis skin test
• Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare supervisory experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure.
• Proven ability to train, direct, and motivate staff.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
