Job summary

Paladin Security is hiring a Full-Time Healthcare Security Guard in Brockville, Ontario. The role pays $22.20/hour with an averaging 88-hour overtime arrangement after threshold, and requires strong English communication, First Aid/CPR Level C, and a valid OPS security license.

Vaccination and clean record checks are required. The successful candidate will patrol, monitor guests and staff, document incidents, and respond to emergencies in a healthcare environment, with opportunities for training

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (verbal/written) required; French is an asset.
• Ability to pass N95 Mask Fit Test.
• Must have First Aid & CPR Level C cert.
• Vulnerable Sector Check required during onboarding.
• 6+ months security experience preferred.
• Healthcare security experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior of site.
• Complete incident and end-of-shift reports.
• Supervise guests, staff, and patients to prevent incidents.
• Respond calmly in emergencies and follow procedures.
• Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced setting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Full-Time Security Guard(Paladin Security Ltd)

Position : Full-Time Healthcare Security Guard

Payrate: $22.20/hour

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Site Description :Brockville General is a leading member of the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Ontario Health Team. A partnership of over 50 health, community and social service organizations from across the Counties of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville. Funded by the Government of Ontario, we are working to improve healthcare for everyone in our region.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment with maintaining the utmost professionalism
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexible, and customer service orientation
• Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations
• Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
• Complete consistent patrols of the interior and exterior of site
• Complete incident reporting and end-of-shift reports
• Supervise and monitor guests, staff, and patients to ensure a proactive approach to incidents
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• A copy of your immunization records [Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2]
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
• Fluency in English (verbal/written) required, Fluency in French is considered an asset
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (extensive patrolling, restraints, etc.)
• 6+ months previous security experience is preferred
• Previous healthcare/healthcare security experience is considered an asset
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
