Job summary

Commissionaires Great Lakes is seeking a Commissionaire for our Kitchener, Ontario site to manage access control, monitor CCTV, and support clients and staff with professional, reliable security coverage.

The role requires mandatory Use of Force certification, Ontario Security Guard license, and clear communications. The position is on-site, Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30 with an 8.5-hour shift and available benefits including medical/dental and employee assistance services.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Use of Force certification.
• Must hold a Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
• Full G class license and Clean Drivers Abstract
• Ability to obtain Level II (Secret) Security Clearance and 10 years Canadian residency

Responsibilities

• Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, visitors and clients.
• Complete site reports, daily logs and written reports.
• Maintain high standards of appearance and deportment.
• Respond to alarms and requests for assistance.
• Regular interior foot patrols.
• Operate a computer with email and Microsoft Office.
• Other duties as required by client or site supervisor
