Job summary

Paladin Security is currently seeking Full-Time Security Guards to join our Powell River portfolio on a variety of sites, delivering professional, people-smart security service.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, able to stay calm in emergencies, and capable of writing clear incident and daily activity reports. A valid BC Security License and a Driver's License are required, with flexible availability including mornings, days, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security License.
• 6 months of security or customer service experience is an asset.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5 or 7N) required for Mobile Patrol.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with clients, tenants, and the public
• Write clear, detailed reports (incident, emergency, liability, and daily activity reports)
• Watch for and report irregularities such as security breaches, safety hazards, and emergencies — and contact emergency responders when needed
• Provide first aid and medical response when required
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of people, property, and equipment
• Use phone and computer applications to communicate site activity

Job description

We’re currently accepting applications for Full-Time Security Guards to join our Powell River portfolio! This is a great opportunity to work at a variety of sites and be part of a supportive, professional team. If you’re people-smart, customer-focused, and enjoy staying active, this could be the perfect fit for you! The role can be physically active and may require availability to work mornings, days, nights, and/or weekends. Schedules and timings vary by assignment - with various fixed/permanent full time roles available, as well as opportunities for casual or part-time work if desired.

Wage: $19.49–$22.53 per hour (assigned by job)

What You Need:

• Valid BC Security License
• Class 5 or Class 7N BC Driver’s License (required for Mobile Patrol)
• 6 months of security experience and/or 6 months of customer service experience is an asset
• Basic First Aid (OFA Level 1) or higher is an asset
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Good physical fitness - ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods
