Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking Commercial Office Security guards to ensure a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and the public. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, alert observation, and professional response to incidents at sites in Kamloops, BC.

Candidates must hold a BC Security Licence; First Aid is an asset, and a valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence is beneficial. Training and career growth opportunities are provided, along with uniforms and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Licence is required.
• First Aid Training is an asset.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence and a reliable vehicle are assets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances.
• Previous security or customer service experience is an asset.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and sustain relationships with clients and patrons.
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches.
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies promptly.
• De-escalate crisis situations and liaise with emergency personnel.
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers.
• Write clear and detailed incident and daily reports.
• Provide first aid and medical response when required.
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities.

This role requires strong observation skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to a variety of situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assistance and sustain effective relationships with clients and patrons
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
• De‑escalate crisis situations, provide support, and liaise with emergency personnel, including police, fire and paramedic resources
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
• Write clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency, liability, and day to day reports
• Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
• Utilize two‑way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security License
• Basic Occupational First Aid Training is an asset
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle is an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk 18/20km, and walk up/down the stairs
• Previous security or customer service experience is an asset
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
