Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking casual Security Guards for Lake Cowichan area. Evening shifts for sports events, flexible team players, and a focus on customer service. The role involves foot patrols, reporting, and responding to emergencies while maintaining safety and security on site.

We offer a CARE culture and opportunities for growth; this is an As Needed position with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability. BC licensing and physical fitness are required to begin training and onboarding.

Qualifications

• A valid BC Security Licence is required (we can help you obtain one through in-person training on Vancouver Island, or through JIBC).
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Good physical fitness - ability to walk for extended periods at most sites.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assistance and sustain effective relationships with clients and patrons.
• Write clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency and day to day reports.
• Watch for and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations and contact emergency responders as required.
• Perform regular foot patrols to ensure personnel, building and equipment security.
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers.

We're looking for awesome causal Security Guards to join our growing team in the Lake Cowichan area! This role is perfect for someone who's people-smart, customer-focused, and enjoys staying active. Some sites are large, so you'll definitely get your steps in! We're looking for flexible team players who work evening shifts to cover sports events.

Static Site Wage range: $18.75

Job Skills / Requirements
