Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking experienced Security Officers for a large shopping centre in Richmond, BC. The role offers full-time hours with shifts including graveyards or mornings/afternoons, and requires a valid BC Security Worker License and Canadian work eligibility.

There is a $21.00/hour pay rate with opportunities to handle real-time law enforcement interactions, evictions, incident reporting, and patrols, alongside collaboration with police and clients.

Qualifications

• A valid BC Security Worker License.
• More than 3 months of work experience in security.
• Experience handling aggression or incidents independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong comprehension and report writing ability.
• Good work ethic and professional deportment.
• Cheerful and helpful customer service approach.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• AST certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the site.
• Handle evictions and interact with individuals under the influence.
• Daily interaction with police, public, clients, and tenants.
• Manage situations involving aggressive behavior.
• Write detailed incident reports.
• Monitor CCTV and communicate via radio.
• Enforce property rules and bylaws.
• Support emergency responders as needed.

Job description

We are currently looking for experienced Security Officers to join our team for a large shopping centre in Richmond.

Pay Rate: $21.00/hour

Shift Availability: Full-time. Must be open to work any 5-days of the week (Sun-Sat), on either Graveyards (0000-0800hrs), OR Mornings & Afternoons.

Please note that we have some shifts which start or end outside of transit hours, so candidates with a vehicle that they can use to get to and from the site are preferred.

You are a good fit if you have:

• A valid BC Security Worker License
• More than 3-months of work experience in security
• Experience handling aggression or dealing with incidents independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong comprehension and report writing ability
• Good work ethic and professional deportment
• Cheerful and helpful customer service approach
• Physical ability to walk 20k-30k steps per shift
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
• AST certification is an asset
