Job summary

Paladin Security in Merritt, BC is seeking an Industrial Security Officer to provide professional, friendly service while maintaining strict access control and safety standards on site.

You will perform routine patrols, verify entry credentials, and respond quickly to incidents. Candidates must hold BC security licensure, OFA 3, and a BC Class 5 driver’s licence; this is a part-time, multi-shift position with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid BC Security Licence.
• Must hold OFA 3 (Advanced First Aid).
• Must hold BC Class 5 Driver's Licence.
• Eligible to work in Canada for part-time, with multi-shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining strict control of all access points, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter the facility.
• Verifying access cards carefully and deny entry to unauthorized individuals while maintaining professionalism.
• Conducting regular patrols of the entire site to monitor for hazards, unauthorized activity, or security breaches.
• Staying highly vigilant and alert at all times, anticipating potential risks and responding proactively.
• Opening and closing access gates promptly, ensuring smooth operations without compromising security.
