Position: Security Guard

Site: Seneca Polytechnic - King Campus

City: King City

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Status: Full‑Time

Hours: Continental Rotation - 0700‑1900/1900‑0700

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $20.50 an hour

Key Responsibilities

• Proactive patrols across academic buildings and grounds
• Respond to medical and safety incidents with empathy and professionalism
• Support residence and community event safety
• Liaise with municipal parks authorities and provincial bodies to maintain trail safety
• Enforce fishing and forestry safety
• Work closely with supervised farm animals, pets, and wildlife (beavers, foxes, coyotes, etc.)
• Manage lost and found, parking, and access
• Collaborate with staff and local emergency responders

Qualifications

• Ontario Security Guard License
• First Aid/CPR
• Strong communication skills and an upbeat, professional attitude
• Ability to handle fast‑paced, diverse campus demands
• Outdoor adventure seeker
• Prior post‑secondary or healthcare security experience an asset
• Must not be a current Seneca student at King Campus
