Job summary

Paladin Security in Vancouver is seeking motivated individuals to join our security team. No BC Security License is required as BST training is provided at no cost to applicants who commit to at least six months of full-time work with Paladin.

The one-week BST course runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm at our Burnaby office, with pay starting at $18.75-$23.00 per hour. Responsibilities include patrolling, de-escalation, and reporting incidents across various sites.

Qualifications

• No BC Security License required; BST training provided at no cost to selected applicants
• Commitment to at least 6 months of full-time work with Paladin
• BST certification available after one-week training at our Burnaby office

Security Guard - BST Certification Provided

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in security! We are currently seeking motivated candidates who do not have a current valid BC Security License. This position is designed to provide required training and certifications at no cost to individuals who are not yet licensed, but are eager to enter the security industry. This free training is provided to selected candidates based on a commitment to at least 6-months full-time work with Paladin.

We provide the Basic Security Training (BST) certification at our office in Burnaby. The course is one week (40 hours) and runs from Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Pay Rate: $18.75/hr - $23/hr starting, depending on what site or program you work in.

YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE:

• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); confidence interacting verbally with team members, clients, members of the public, and emergency responders
• Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift; additionally, your patrols may be indoors or outdoors, in all weather conditions, and can include stairwells, uneven surfaces, and parkades
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
