Paladin Security Group is seeking a Security Guard for a temporary, on-site position in Trail, BC. The role involves maintaining a visible security presence, patrolling the site, monitoring access points, and promptly reporting irregularities.

Position Overview

Title: Security Guard

Employment Type: Temporary (As Needed)

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.04 per hour

Schedule: As Needed (various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays)

Site Overview

Serving clients across the West Kootenay region—including Trail, Nelson, and Castlegar—our sites focus on maintaining safe, secure, and welcoming environments for employees, visitors, and the public.

What You'll Be Doing

Maintain a visible security presence to ensure site safety.

Patrol premises, monitor access points, and report any irregularities.

Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents calmly and professionally.

Enforce site rules, safety procedures, and regulations.

Complete clear, detailed daily reports.

Provide helpful customer service to clients, visitors, and community members.

Must Haves

Valid BC Security Licence

Valid BC Class 5 driver's license

Reliable transportation

Strong communication and report-writing skills

Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure

Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice-to-Haves

Valid Basic First Aid certificate

Previous security or customer service experience

Experience with patrols, access control systems, and CCTV monitoring
