Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a Security Guard for our Critical Response Team in Terrace, BC. This part-time, casual role involves rapid response to incidents, high-visibility patrols, and coordinated support across multiple client sites within a travel radius.

You will manage access control, deter threats, and document incidents while coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as required. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security License.
• BC Class 5 driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• First Aid certification (Basic/Intermediate/Advanced).
• Willingness to travel to client sites within 1–4 hours of Terrace.
• Strong spoken and written communication with de-escalation skills.
• Physical capability for active and demanding situations.
• Flexible availability for varied shifts including days and weekends.
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Position Overview

Title: Security Guard Critical Response Team
Employment Type: Part-Time (Casual / As Needed)
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Casual part-time availability all days of the week, including day shifts (e.g., 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) or short shifts (e.g., 5:30 AM - 9:30 AM, or 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM).

Site Overview

This dynamic role supports client sites across Terrace and nearby surrounding cities within a 2 to 4 hour travel radius. As part of our specialized response unit, you will deliver adaptable, high-level security coverage to safeguard community assets in fast-paced environments.

What You'll Be Doing

Respond rapidly and effectively to critical incidents, emergencies, and alarms.

Provide tactical reinforcement and support to frontline security guards.

Conduct high-visibility patrols and proactive threat deterrence.

Manage site access control and maintain secure operational environments.

Safeguard high-value assets and property across various client locations.

Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.

Write clear, detailed incident reports and maintain continuous situational awareness.

Travel to designated sites in surrounding areas on short notice.

Must Haves

Valid BC Security License.

BC Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle.

Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced First Aid certification.

Nice-to-Haves

Minimum 1 year of security guard experience in industrial, healthcare, or campus settings.
