Job summary

Paladin Security Group in Revelstoke, BC, seeks a part-time Mobile Security Guard to patrol properties, respond to alarms, and control site access, driving company vehicles as needed.

You will operate independently with strong situational awareness, maintain detailed incident reports, and collaborate with dispatch and emergency services when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in security.
• BC Security Licence required.
• Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and random mobile patrols across designated properties.
• Respond to alarms, urgent calls, and site emergencies.
• Perform interior and exterior property checks, securing buildings and access points.
• Identify hazards and document issues clearly.
• Write incident reports and patrol logs.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and team members, plus local emergency services when needed.
• Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with traffic laws and weather conditions.

Overview

As a Mobile Security Guard with Paladin Security in Revelstoke, you will play a vital role in keeping local properties and community members safe. Operating company vehicles across various client sites, you will conduct proactive property patrols, respond to security alarms, and manage site access.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means maintaining a vigilant, proactive presence and responding calmly and effectively to calls for service. You will spend your shifts actively patrolling local client sites, preventing safety hazards, and representing both Paladin and our clients with professionalism.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conducting scheduled and random mobile patrols across designated properties.
• Responding promptly to alarms, urgent calls, and site emergencies.
• Performing detailed interior and exterior property checks, including securing buildings, gates, and access points.
• Identifying and documenting security, safety hazards, and facility maintenance issues.
• Writing clear, accurate, and professional incident reports and patrol logs.
• Maintaining clear communication with dispatch, team members, and local emergency services when necessary.
• Operating company vehicles safely, responsibly, and in accordance with traffic laws and weather conditions.

Qualifications

Must-Have Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working within the security industry.
• A valid British Columbia Security Licence.
• A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to successfully clear a background check, including a Criminal Record Check.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills to ensure accurate reporting and clear coordination.
• Flexibility to work independent shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to perform routine patrol duties, including walking, climbing stairs, and driving for extended periods.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Nice-to-Have Assets

• Valid First Aid certification (such as OFA Level 1).
• Prior experience in mobile patrol security or emergency response.
• Familiarity with the geography and street network of Revelstoke.
